Wool+Aid

WoolAid is a New Zealand-based company that has developed the world's first merino wool adhesive bandages, offering a sustainable and effective alternative to traditional plastic plasters.

Founded in 2016 by former mountain guide Lucas Smith, WoolAid's bandages are crafted from Hyperfine™ merino wool, providing natural breathability and moisture-wicking properties that create an optimal healing environment for wounds. The merino wool fabric is biodegradable, decomposing in approximately four months when buried in soil, addressing the environmental concerns associated with the estimated 50 billion plastic plasters sold globally each year. WoolAid has garnered international recognition, winning the Supreme Winner title for Product of the Year 2023 at North America's largest Outdoor Retailer expo.
